Mr. Fola Adeola is the Chairman of MainOne. He is an entrepreneur, private investor and philanthropist, and is founder and chairman of Fate Foundation, a charitable foundation promoting entrepreneurship among Nigerian youths. He was also the founder and pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive of Guaranty Trust Bank, Nigeria for twelve years. Mr. Adeola has served on innumerable developmental initiatives within and outside Nigeria. He served in his personal capacity on the Blair Commission for Africa. He is a 2002 Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR). He sits on the Board as a representative of Main Street Technologies Limited.
Mr. Dapo Oshinusi sits on the Board of MainOne as a representative of Main Street Technologies Limited. He is the founder and Managing Director of Mansfield Energy, a leading provider of drilling and well completion solutions with sand control services for the oil and gas industry in West and South Africa. His experience spans managing the business of Schlumberger for more than two decades in different countries in the Middle East, West and South Africa and Europe. Prior to setting up Mansfield Energy, a growing provider of oilfield services in West Africa, he was President of Reslink for Africa after he was Chairman of Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Lagos section. He is an executive member of the Petroleum Technology Association on Nigeria (PETAN), an association committed to the development of the Nigerian content with the transfer of technology to Nigerians in the oil and gas sector. Mr. Oshinusi sits on various management boards, such as Crystal Life assurance, where he is Chairman.
Mr. Taiwo Okeowo is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of investment banking experience, and sits on the Board as a representative of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. (FBN); one of the oldest banks in Nigeria which has successfully transformed itself to be continually relevant and able to compete with the new-generation banks. Mr. Okeowo joined FBN Capital (a subsidiary of FBN) in 2006 from First Bank where he was the Head of the Corporate Finance group. Prior to joining First Bank, he was a pioneer staff of IBTC (now Stanbic IBTC). He advised on the two largest non-oil transactions to date in Nigeria namely the $1.2bn acquisition of Vmobile by MTC/Celtel and the $480m project financing of Obajana Cement. He has a first degree in Computer Science and a SLOAN Masters (MSc.) in Management from the London Business School. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
Ms. Bennedikter China Molokwu is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and served as the President, Institute of Directors of Nigeria. A member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers and Chartered Institute of Bankers. She holds a LLB degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in (1975) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1976. She also received a Master’s degree in International and Comparative Law from Vrije Universities Brussel, Belgium, in 1978, and holds banking and management certificates from various Business Schools including Harvard Business School, Boston, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania among others. Ms Molokwu is active on the private sector boards of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, where she chairs the Finance Committee; Crusader Sterling Pensions Limited etc and was previously at Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited.
Mr. Souleymane Keita sits on the Board as a representative of Harith Fund Managers, the duly appointed fund managers of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund, a leading infrastructure investor in Africa. Mr. Keita currently heads the Tunisian office of Harith, where he is responsible for originating and appraising infrastructure investments. He has led and participated in a range of private and PPP transactions in energy, transport and telecommunications fields across Africa; resulting in equity investments for the PAIDF of more than USD 100 million. He joined Harith in 2007 after a 5-year stint at the African Development Bank, where he was successively a Senior Investment Officer in the Infrastructure Finance Division, Senior Financial Analyst in the Public Infrastructure Department and a Senior Analyst in the Treasury Department. Before this he was an Investment Manager in charge of the development of new financial products at Dexia Public Finance. Souleymane’s prior experience includes Paribas Affaires Industrielles and Lazard Freres & Cie. Souleymane holds a Bsc. in Actuarial Mathematics from University of Montreal and is a graduate from ESSEC Business School in France.
Mr. Banji Fehintola is a Senior Director and Head of Treasury & Financial Institutions at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). He is responsible for managing the Corporation’s balance sheet with total assets of about US$6.1 billion and leading the implementation of its annual funding program in the international loan and debt capital markets. Banji joined AFC in January 2008 and as the pioneer Treasurer of the Corporation, he was instrumental in setting up the Corporation’s treasury function and leading AFC to becoming one of the leading African credits in the international loan and debt capital markets.
He has led several landmark borrowing transactions that AFC has executed since its inception. He manages AFC’s relationship with its rating agencies, bankers and asset managers. AFC in one of the highest investment grade rated entities in Africa with a credit rating of A3 from Moody’s. Prior to joining AFC, Banji worked with the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities team of Citibank Nigeria and the Tax and Business Advisory Division of former Arthur Andersen. He is a Chartered Accountant, with a first degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Finance. He is also a CFA Charter holder.
Mr. Sipho Makhubela sits on the Board as another representative of Harith Fund Managers. He has over 17 years’ experience in auditing, structured finance and private equity investing. After qualifying with Deloitte & Touche, Sipho joined African Merchant Bank as a transactor in the structured finance team. He later joined the structured finance teams of Coronation Capital and Investec Bank. He has been with Harith since 2007 as an Investment Director and is responsible for originating and upraising infrastructure investment. He has led and participated in a range of private and PPP transactions in the ICT, transport and energy sectors across Africa resulting in equity investments for PAIDF of more than $200 million. Sipho is Chartered Accountant (SA) and has an MBA from UKZN.
Mr. George Olaka serves as Africa Finance Corporation’s Head of Portfolio Management. He is responsible for managing AFC’s investment portfolio and provides on-going management/monitoring and evaluation and reports to AFC’s senior management on investee companies. Prior to this, George served as Business Performance & Product Controller at AFC, where his responsibilities included full financial management of AFC Equity and achievements included setting up a product control unit within the Financial Control Department to oversee Treasury activities and coordinate Treasury and Investment Divisions valuations. George has over 15 years of product control management experience. He has also worked at the Emirates National Bank of Dubai and Standard Chartered Bank.
George is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce-Accounting from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, an MSC in Economic Policy from the University of London and an MBA (Global MBA) from the Manchester Business School.
Mr. Sandeep Fakun sits on the Board as a representative of CIM Global Business. He is a Fellow of the Chartered and Certified Accountants of UK and a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners of UK. He started his career in the Public Sector and then moved to De Chazal du Mee & Co where for 8 years he worked on several audit and consultancy assignments for companies ranging from manufacturing, distribution, agricultural, banking and insurance. Prior to joining the CIM Group in December 2008, Sandeep has worked as consultant for Multiconsult Ltd and as Director – Trust and Company administration for Simcocks Trust (Mauritius) Limited where he was extensively involved in the structuring, setting-up and administration of Global Business entities. Sandeep is now involved as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Services Team of CIM Global Management and also acts as director on the board of several client companies.
Mr. Praveen Beeharry holds a Degree in Accounting from the University of Mauritius and is a member of the International Fiscal Association (Mauritius Branch). He is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. He joined IQ EQ in 2001 and has extensive experience in tax advice, company administration and accounting services for Global Business entities promoted by a wide portfolio of clients, including multinationals and high net worth individuals. He is now involved as a manager in the Project Team of IQ EQ Global Business (Mauritius) Ltd. He also acts as director on the Board of several clients including fund structures.
